A 51-member Pakistani rescue team is set to reach Istanbul to aid in the efforts

A series of powerful earthquakes struck the Turkiye-Syria border, resulting in the collapse of thousands of buildings and claiming over 4,300 lives.

While others rescue teams are working tirelessly, a 51-member Pakistani rescue team is also set to reach Istanbul to aid in the efforts.

Federal Minister Saad Rafique confirmed the dispatch of the team via Twitter, as the death toll continues to rise in the wake of the swarm of strong tremors, including a 7.8-magnitude earthquake.

Disaster response teams in Turkiye and Syria report that over 5,600 buildings have been destroyed, including multi-story apartment blocks that were filled with sleeping residents when the first quake hit.

As the world comes together to support the affected regions, the Pakistani rescue team joins the global efforts in searching for survivors and providing aid.

The disaster serves as a reminder of the devastating impact of natural disasters and the importance of coming together in times of need.
